Après avoir étudié l’illustration virtuelle, aux Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles et de Tournai, Marc Nis s’est désormais ancré dans le réel, et la construction d’univers miniatures pour le cinéma d’animation en stop motion.
Tour à tour constructeur, designer, graveur, mais surtout poète, il poursuit son parcours artistique dans ce milieu, en continuant son propre cheminement artistique personnel.
Son travail dans l’animation lui apportera en 2011, un Magritte dans la catégorie “Meilleurs Décors de cinéma” pour le film “Panique au village ».

After studying illustration and graphic design at the school of Fine Arts in Brussels and Tournai (Belgium), Marc Nis now works his magic in stop motion cinema, and animation.
In turns a builder, a designer, an engraver, but above all, a poet, he’s artistically moving forward both in his cinematographic and artistic career.
His work in animation is recognised and in 2011, he received the Magritte award for his sets on the movie “A town called Panique”.
